Police Interrogation: Man Walks Police Through Murder Scene

INTRODUCTION
Sugar Land, TX, December 19, 2003

The Whitaker family of four was gunned down in their own home in what at first looked like a burglary gone wrong. Sugar Land police had Bart Whitaker, who survived a shot in the arm, walk them through what happened the night his father was wounded and his mother, Trisha, and brother, Kevin, were killed.

CONCLUSION
Bart Whitaker was convicted of masterminding the shooting with the help of two buddies he worked with at a local country club. The motive: his parent's million-dollar insurance policy. The shooter, Chris Brashear, will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years. The getaway driver, Steven Champagne, is serving a 15-year sentence. Whitaker received the death penalty and remains on death row.
