Paris Has Sober Advice On Drunken Driving

Call it her atonement for her run-in with the law.

In a public service announcement in the December issue of Seventeen magazine, Paris Hilton speaks out against drunken driving. In the PSA called "It Only Takes One," she says: "All it takes is one drink to mess with the way you drive — it clouds your judgment and slows your reflexes. Don't take any chances. It just isn't worth it."

Hilton, 25, was arrested in September and subsequently charged with driving under the influence. Her blood alcohol level was 0.08 percent.

At the time, Hilton said she had one margarita at a charity event before driving in her Mercedes and that the arresting officers were "really nice."

In an interview with the magazine, which also appears in the issue, Hilton talks about who she thinks she really is and admits to having an alter-ego.

"It's fun just to have this alter-ego thing. People think I'm serious, like, 'The Simple Life' is a reality show, so that's how she really is," she says. "But it's not. I like to play with people, and they expect it or go along with it. With my real friends, you know, I talk normal. But with some people I don't know, I just do it because I don't want to give them my real self and I really don't trust them."

2Hilton, who was engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis and has dated others in the celebrity realm, says she's happy that she's not in a relationship at the moment.

"I ignore my girlfriends (when I'm dating someone) — I don't ignore them, but it's hard because the boyfriend is always there and always wants me around," she says. "Like, when you're at dinner, your boyfriend's gonna talk to you the whole time. So now I can hang out with my friends, and I don't have some guy bossing me around or getting in fights. It's just not worth it. It's good to be young and have fun and respect yourself. I want to wait a year and see if I can find the best guy in the world."

She also says that despite her sexy persona, she's really not all that sexual with guys when she's in a relationship (earlier this year Hilton swore off sex for a year.)

"I get in so many fights with guys who are like, 'In public, you are the sexiest sex symbol, but you're not sexual at all at home.' I'm like, 'Whatever, shut up. I don't wanna be.' I'd rather watch a movie or 'Lost,' or like, eat," she says.

Her fans may be thrilled to know that she seems to be well on her way to launching a world-wide brand.

"I was like, I wanna do watches now. I wanna do sunglasses. I wanna do makeup. I wanna do a lingerie line. And I just say, 'I wanna do that' and then I have someone give me the number, and I'm just like 'Hi, this is Paris Hilton. Let's make a meeting,' " she says.
