Obama Explains HealthCare.gov Site in Video

"The video released today shows the American people just how easy using HealthCare.gov can be," the White House said. "In the video, the President shows how consumers can find their insurance options and discusses stories of American's who suffered under the old health care system. The video comes as the Affordable Care Act is growing increasingly popular with the American people who are beginning to see the benefits of health reform. Seniors are receiving prescription drug rebate checks, small businesses are eligible for tax credits and some young adults are able to stay on their parents' health insurance plan."

Despite White House hopes that support for the health care bill would improve over time, support for the controversial measure has actually dropped since May, according to a CBS News poll earlier this month. (It is up slightly since March.)

Forty-nine percent of Americans now disapprove of the health care reform measure, according to the poll, which was conducted July 9 - 12. Thirty-six percent support the law.
