Nicki Minaj releases "Super Bass" video
(CBS) Nicki Minaj has premiered her eagerly anticipated viideo "Super Bass." An edited version was shown during BET's "106 & Park" and the video is now available on Minaj's VEVO account.
Minaj also announced via Twitter that she is starting a "Super Bass" contest in which she asks her "Team Minaj" fans to record a video of themselves covering a verse from her song and send it to her. She will then select five winners who will get tickets and meet-and-greet passes to her "Femme Fatale" outing with Britney Spears.
"Pink Friday," released on Nov. 21, 2010, went platinum upon release, out-selling Kanye West's most recent album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy." It also reached #1 on the Billboard charts eleven weeks after its release.
