Nick (32) and Amber (32) Nunn from Shreveport, Louisiana. Nick is in medical sales and Amber is a stay at home mom.
Time Together: 6 years

Married on: November 25, 2006

Special Section: "Honeymoon: Take 2"

Their Love Story: Nick and Amber met in Baton Rouge, Louisiana while volunteering at a hurricane evacuee shelter after Katrina. Turned out they actually grew up in small towns 15 miles from each other and attended the same university, but never knew each other. Prior to their meeting as volunteers, Nick served six years in the military after graduating high school (one year of that was active duty in Afghanistan) and Amber worked and paid her way through college working full time and volunteered with the AmeriCorps. Back to the day they met, from that day forward they were a team! Nick called his Dad two days later and told him he had met the most beautiful woman that could possibly be his wife one day. They said it was love at first sight. It started as a long distance relationship and a year later they were married. They have two children, a 4-year-old son and a daughter who is 16 months. Amber describes Nick as the backbone of their family. Together they like to go bowling and stay active!

First Honeymoon: Amber and Nick's marriage came at an inopportune time for both husband and wife: Amber was a month a way from graduating and Nick just started a new job. They decided to postpone the honeymoon. Due to both of them working and paying their own way through college, they felt like investing that money into a home and getting established would be a lot wiser than spending the money on a honeymoon. Fast-forward five years, and their honeymoon is still on hold.

What A Second Honeymoon Would Mean To Them: It would be their first honeymoon! Nick is an overworked Dad and Amber is a worn-out Mom. Having two young children in their lives consumes all of their time, leaving none for each other. They have been postponing this honeymoon for 5 years, putting their money toward their family and establishing themselves as a married couple. They would love to finally get the opportunity to take one.
