New Twists in Online Shopping

There are a couple of new sites that specialize in helping you comparison shop online. At DealTime.com, you type in what you are looking for and it searches through online shops, auctions and even classified ads. It's a shopping service that can notify you of new deals on what you are looking for by email or even pager. Another new site, StoreRunner.com, partly owned by CBS, takes the unique approach of helping you find what you want to buy online or off. CEO Dale Sundby says StoreRunner has affiliations with many of the best known retail names...

"There probably isn't a big name that we wouldn't have a relationship with, that wouldn't be in our system. So in apparel, you'll find the Brooks Brothers and Macy's and Neiman Marcus' and Nordstrums and Bloomingdales..."
But when you tell the site to search within a given distance of your zip code, it will find the merchandise at local stores too...

"If you can't wait for the delivery man, if you want to try it on or hold it before you buy it, it's the only place on the Internet where you have that kind of capability."
And the sites are by far the fastest and easiest ways to comparison shop for almost anything.
