New Obama Ad Calls Golden Parachutes "An Outrage"

The Obama campaign has released a new ad, "Parachute," that ties John McCain to so-called "golden parachutes" for business executives. The ad spotlights McCain advisor Carly Fiorina, a former Hewlett-Packard CEO "who left with $42 million."

The 30-second spot will air will air "across the country on national cable beginning today," the campaign says.

"Last week another bank went under," an announcer says as the spot opens. "But its CEO could walk away with $19 million. John McCain's advisor, Carly Fiorina: The fired CEO who left with $42 million. Barack Obama says it's got to change, demanded any Wall St. bailout restricts CEO pay."

Obama is then shown speaking.

"You've got corporate executives who are giving themselves million dollar golden parachutes and leaving workers high and dry," he says. "That's wrong. It's an outrage."
