New McCain Ad Imagines Growing Washington Under Obama

The McCain campaign has released an anti-Obama attack ad called "Dome" that it says will air "nationally." No word on where or when.

In the ad, an announcer says, "When our economy's in crisis, a big government casts a big shadow on us all."

Then a map of the US appears: On it, the Capitol building is shown growing larger and larger from its base in the Washington DC area.

"Obama and his liberal Congressional allies want a massive government, billions in spending increases, wasteful pork," the announcer says as the shadow from the Washington building grows onscreen.

"And, we would pay painful income taxes, skyrocketing taxes on life savings, electricity and home heating oil," he continues. As he talks, the shadow continues to spread insidiously across America.

Concludes the announcer: "Can your family afford that?"

It is at this point that the shadow passes over a sleeping baby.
