New Hampshire Rep. Reportedly Endorses Obama
If true, this endorsement is the latest piece of good news for Obama to come out of the Granite State, where he has been steadily closing the gap on Hillary Clinton in the polls. Paul Hodes, the state's other representative, endorsed Obama in July.
CBS News' Aaron Lewis, who has been traveling with the John Edwards campaign, notes that Shea-Porter introduced Edwards at his first event after Thanksgiving in Rochester. At the time, she praised Edwards for his vow to take away Congress' health care if members don't pass universal health care within six months of Edwards' first day as president. Edwards has since directly referenced Shea-Porter's support for this measure at town hall meetings in the state. [Editor's note: The post originally incorrectly stated that CBS News' John Bentley is traveling with the Edwards campaign.]
