Morroccan Cell Planned Attack Against U.N. Headquarters in Western Sahara

Asharq al Awsat:
A cell recently uncovered by Moroccan security was planning an attack on the headquarters of United Nations Mission for the Referendum in the Western Sahara (MINURSO) and assassinate its employees, according to security sources who spoke to the Arab newspaper Asharq al Awsat. The paper reports that members of the cell, which is known as Fatah al Andalus, contacted Arab Afghans and members of al Qaeda through the Internet to learn about simultaneous bombings from afar. Sources also told the paper that Moroccan security was on the lookout for some suspects who may be outside the country, including the group's mastermind.
