Michelle Obama's prom photo revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
(CBS News) The last time Michelle Obama appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," she and the talk show host had a push-up contest. This time, the two compared high school prom photos.
Ellen DeGeneres showed her own prom picture - and then the first lady's - when Mrs. Obama appeared on the show from Jacksonville, Fla., with a group of teenage girls from military families.
"Now, Mrs. Obama, I don't think I've ever shown you my prom picture," DeGeneres said. "I just wanted to - I want to show you my prom picture first."
The host joked that her prom dress - a long, plaid number - "was a tablecloth at one point."
Then viewers got to see Mrs. Obama's prom photo, which shows her seated in a wicker chair wearing a metallic gold dress with a thigh-high slit.
"That split was a little high," the first lady admitted. "I don't know if I'd let my kids go out in a split that high, so let's not show this to Malia and Sasha."
