(CBS) PONTIAC, Mich. - A 57-year-old Michigan man was allegedly killed by his 45-year-old nephew on Monday after the two argued over control of a TV set, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, CBS Detroit reported.

The suspected killer called 911 to tell authorities about the incident, reported the station.

When authorities arrived on the scene in Pontiac, about 25 miles northwest of Detroit, they said the 45-year-old man was performing CPR on his uncle, who was pronounced dead at the scene, said CBS Detroit.

Police told the station they believe that after a fistfight broke out over the TV, the younger man strangled his uncle until he was unconscious. The specific details of the argument weren't made known.

According to CBS Detroit, the suspect was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail. The county medical examiner will be performing an autopsy on the deceased.
