McCain Pushes "Big Ideas" In New Spot

The Democrats aren't the only ones debuting new ads after the holiday weekend. Presumptive GOP nominee John McCain is out with a spot in Michigan and Pennsylvania, "Accountable," focused largely on the economy.

In the ad, an announcer says that McCain has "big ideas for serious problems." The ideas themselves are referenced in a broad sense, though the spot offers few details.

"The great goal is to get the American economy running at full strength again," McCain says as the spot opens. "Creating the opportunities Americans expect and the jobs Americans need."

Later, an announcer promises: "As president, John McCain will make taxes simpler, fairer; Energy cleaner, cheaper; Health care portable and affordable; Corporate CEOs, accountable; Mortgage debt, restructured."
