Man Arrested For Rescuing 37 Cats From Death
Edward McIrvin, of Greensboro, faces charges of felony breaking and entering and felony larceny, according to Police Lt. Wendell Neville. Edward McIrvin, 43, has already admitted to the deed.
McIrvin decided last Monday night - hours before the animals were to be killed - that he would grab them, The News and Record of Greensboro reported.
Neville said McIrvin returned the cats in good condition. But despite his legal troubles, he hasn't given up trying to save the 37 cats from death. He took $5,800 to the Reidsville Veterinary Hospital on Thursday for adoption fees and spaying and neutering the cats.
