Hi everyone:

You know the expression "Seeing is believing." Well, that's very much the phrase around here this week.

First came the "Storm of the Century" that dumped some 20 inches (and more in some places) on about 20 percent of the country. This is how I remember my childhood - snow up to my eyelids, skating on the ponds, and never worrying about falling in. I don't know about you, but I love snow. It makes me smile. But I guess is these days of global warming, a snow blizzard is considered incredible.

Equally hard to believe is what 48 Hours Investigates has this Wednesday (Feb. 19) at 10 pm ET/PT in what we're calling "Lust, Lies and Videotape." It's the amazing story of Andrew Luster - now a fugitive from justice - the great-grandson of cosmetics legend Max Factor. His sentencing, in absentia, is set for this week.

Correspondent Troy Roberts had the only interview with Luster before he fled California- right in the midst of a trial on 87 counts, ranging from poisoning to sexual battery to rape.

If that's not amazing enough, 48 Hours also has the stunning videotape evidence of his crimes, recorded by Luster himself (though a lot of it is just too graphic to air). And then, two of Luster's victims break their silence for the first time on 48 Hours. They tell Roberts how shocked they were first, to learn they were Luster's "victims" who had been drugged with GHB, the date-rape drug - and then to learn he had videotape of it all. It's real-life-drama that's a real stunner.

As for 60 Minutes, I'm being told (again) that my report on the Institute of Technology in India really, truly -- no joke this time -- will air this Sunday (Feb 23 at 7:00 PM ET/PT).

And I'm still sneaking off to rehearsals for Urban Cowboy - the Musical. Can't help myself since my husband wrote the movie, the book, and now the play. Opening night on Broadway is March 27.
