(CBS) - Los Angeles police are asking for the public's help locating in a 24-year-old Tennessee woman who, her family says, has been missing since October.

Satara Stratton, an aspiring actress, was reported missing by her mother who contacted police on October 25, 2011 when she was unable to get in contact with her daughter, according to an LAPD press release.

ABC News reports that police are searching for Stratton, listed as "Voluntarily Missing," along with 46-year-old Paul Constantinescu, a registered sex offender who is wanted for questioning.

Stratton's mother Sharon said she thinks Constantinescu is keeping her daughter from contacting her, through psychological abuse or by drugging her, reports ABC News.

Sharon Stratton says her daughter had a kidney infection in June, which resulted in her losing her job and apartment, ABC news reports. Sharon claims Constantinescu and another of Stratton's acquaintances pushed drugs onto her daughter at the hospital and again later when she entered rehab.

Police say Stratton may be frequenting the area around the 6500 Block of Santa Monica Boulevard and along the Hollywood Boulevard corridor, in Hollywood.

Stratton is a 24-year-old female White, blond hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 90 pounds, and has a slim build with a light complexion.

Police ask that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Stratton please contact the Culver City Police Department, at 310.837.1221, Reference, Culver City Police Report No. 11-39182.
