Kim Kardashian on Kanye West: "We'll always be in the honeymoon period"

Kim Kardashian opens up about her wedding, her love for Kanye West and more in a new interview with the Daily Mail.

The chat, which took place this week at a Daily Mail party in Cannnes, France, marks Kardashian's first post-wedding interview. She and West, 37, exchanged vows last month in Florence in an elaborate wedding complete with performances by John Legend and Bocelli.

And the 33-year-old reality star sounds like she has high hopes for keeping the romance alive, saying, "I feel as though we'll always be in the honeymoon period. We always say we really like to treat each other like it's our birthday. I try to treat him like it's his birthday every single day. We always try to make life as fun and enjoyable as possible."

Although their busy celebrity lives take them all over the world, Kardashian says she and West do whatever they can to stay in touch: "We do travel, and work really hard, [but] when we're together -- and even when we're apart, we're always on the phone 24/7 -- [we're] just trying to make that time as memorable as possible."

And as for that wedding, Kardashian said she was completely surprised by Bocelli's performance, revealing, "I got up the altar and didn't even see him standing there. And I turned around when my sisters were helping me fix my veil, and I did a double-take -- I thought it was a CD of him singing." Kardashian continued, "He sounded so amazing. And it was really him. I was blown away. It was so Kanye to have him there. I should have expected that."
