Kentucky Derby Favorites: What do the tweets tell us?

(CBS/What's Trending) - If the Kentucky Derby were run on Twitter, it looks like "Pants on Fire" would be leading the pack. Our friends at the Parnassus Group have analyzed roughly four thousand tweets going back to May 2 specifically referencing the Kentucky Derby. Here's what they found out.

The horse "Uncle Mo" seems to have dominated the conversation. Eleven percent of all tweets reference Mo due to the horse being scratched from the lineup.

So, our real number one is number two on the twitter list. "Pants on Fire" comes in second with a 2.4 percent mention rate. "Dialed In," "Mucho Macho Man," and "Stay Thirsty" are next on the list, with "Watch Me Go" coming in last place.

To pick your pony based on the social media stats, here's what the Parnassus Group came up with:

- Uncle Mo: 392 tweets, 10.8%

- Pants on Fire: 88 tweets, 2.4%

- Dialed In: 73 tweets, 2.0%

- Mucho Macho Man: 59 tweets, 1.6%
