Kendrick Meek: I Did Not Endorse Hillary!

Did the Clinton campaign just flub the endorsement announcement of Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-Fla.), a rising Democratic star and 2004 Florida chairman of the Kerry campaign??

Here's the bizarre tale out of Miami. The Herald reported on Thursday that Clinton "has secured the support" of Meek. We find out later that the sources for the story are the Clinton and Obama campaigns.

Not 24 hours later the Herald is backtracking bigtime with this headline: "Meek: I have not endorsed Hillary Clinton." Woah! What happened here?! On top of that, Meek penned a pointed letter to the Clinton campaign, according to the Herald, saying "I have not endorsed Senator Clinton for President. Therefore the Hillary for President Campaign is not authorized to use my name, image, or this incorrect news report in any of your campaign literature or promotional material."
