Justin's mom was a bit skeptical of the music business and didn't want to sign anything. But a fateful trip to Atlanta led Bieber to sign with Usher's label.
Apparently Usher wasn't the only music superstar who wanted to sign him. Justin Timberlake and others expressed interest in signing Bieber.
"Both Usher and Justin, you know, wanted to sign me," Bieber said. "So it was pretty crazy."
