Katie Couric's Notebook: President's Approval

In the seventy years since Gallup started conducting presidential approval polls, no president has had a higher disapproval rating than George W. Bush's today.

According to Gallup and USA Today, 69 percent of Americans disapprove of the job President Bush is doing. The previous record was set by Harry Truman in January 1952. There are some parallels between these two men.
