Caleb McGillivary is scheduled to appear Monday in a Union County courtroom. The 24-year-old is accused of killing 73-year-old lawyer Joseph Galfy, whose body was found in his Clark home May 13.

Authorities say the two met in New York City and McGillivary stayed with Galfy. Authorities say Galfy was beaten to death and was partially clad when he was found.

McGillivary was arrested in Philadelphia days later.

McGillivary took a star turn in February after he intervened in an attack on a Fresno, Calif. utility worker.

McGillivary said he was "home free" instead of homeless and from West Virginia. He is actually Canadian.
