(CBS) When it comes to Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Colonel makes accommodations for no one. That includes actor John Travolta, who reportedly tried to make a reservation at one of the fast food chain's locations in West Sussex, England.

The Daily Mail reports that a representative for Travolta tried to book a table for the actor but a staff member turned down the request, saying he would have to wait in line like everybody else.

The paper reports that the staff member who answered the call, who wishes to remain anonymous, thought it was all a joke when the rep asked for a table for "Mr. Travolta."

"That threw me a little bit. I thought it might be a load of nonsense, but she seemed pretty serious," the staffer told the Daily Mail.

Travolta was in town attending an annual Scientology event, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

A spokesperson for KFC told the Daily Mail: "In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him. It's not every day you get a Hollywood star eating in your restaurant."
