Missing Florida nanny found dead, police say

Winter Park, Florida, police said they have found the body of Jennifer Lynn Fulford, a nanny and grandmother who vanished Wednesday under "suspicious circumstances."

Authorities spotted it from a Orange County Sheriff's Office helicopter, CBS affiliate WKMG reports. Fulford's SUV was found in Orange County Friday.  Police told WKMG it was not in the same area where her body was found, but said that after processing the vehicle, "valuable evidence" in the case had been obtained.

Police have named Scott Nelson as a person of interest in her disappearence. According to WKMG, photos released by Winter Park police show Nelson accessing Fulfords' bank account at an ATM.

Police told WKMG Saturday that they had a "good idea" of Nelson's whereabouts and believe they have strong evidence that will help tie him to Fulford's death. Nelson is on federal probation for bank robbery, Winter Park officers said.

Fulford was last seen on surveillance video leaving her dentist's office in Winter Park at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.  Fulford, who works as a nanny, reportedly didn't pick up her client's child from school that afternoon, which family says is odd behavior because she's never late.

"She never picked him up from school, and I haven't heard from her since. I can't get her on her cellphone. Her phone is off. She's not answering texts," her husband Robert Fulford told WKMG. "She's the nicest lady, most responsible lady on the planet, and it's just not like her to disappear."

Robert Fulford said that when her employer returned home, he found her purse on the bathroom floor, but her phone, keys and wallet were missing.
