Iraqi Resistance Coalition Release First Compilation Video

The Political Council for the Iraqi Resistance (PCIR) released its first video containing a compilation of attacks. The video is entitled "Hope and Challenge" and includes a combination of old and new footage of attacks carried out by the four members of the coalition group, namely the Islamic Army in Iraq, Hamas-Iraq, Ansar al Sunna and JAAMI.

The group was initially comprised of six major Sunni militant groups. A group spokesman announced the creation of the umbrella organization on several jihadist websites on October 11, 2007. The council's formation was also a sign of rift between such groups who refused to adhere to the Islamic State of Iraq and al Qaeda.
