Iran Crisis Not About Us, Obama Says
(CBS)
Asked to answer criticisms that the U.S. has not been forceful enough in its support for backers of Iran's opposition parties, Mr. Obama said, "the last thing I want to do is to have the United States be a foil for — those forces inside Iran who would love nothing better than to make this an argument about the United States."
"We shouldn't be playing into that," Mr. Obama said.
In addition to the crisis in Iran, the president spoke about the North Korean government's threats of a missile attack on U.S. soil and federal regulation of the U.S. economy.
