Huckabee Ate So Much He "Almost Ate The Plate"

DAVENPORT, IOWA – Mike Huckabee took a detour today from a serious conversation about the sacrifice of his parents to joke about how often they spoke of the Depression to the point he felt like he had "experienced it as well." He added their "eat everything on your plate" attitude got him into trouble.

"I got so big, I ate everything on the plate, I almost ate the plate by the time I got to being an adult," said Huckabee, who famously lost over 100 pounds a few years back after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.

"Yeah, the reason those kids in other countries were starving was because I was eating their food!"
