Hoyer Predicts Obama Win

House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-Md.) predicted an Obama win Tuesday night as the Democrats revved up their election night party.

"We are going to have a very good night. It looks like the presidency is going to change hands," Hoyer tells Politico's Daniel W. Reilly. "And Barack Obama is going to have a historic night for America.”

On the House, Hoyer said, “It appears we are going to pick up a significant number of seats. I don’t know how many yet, but a significant number."

The majority leader predicts the number "could be certainly over 20. And maybe higher. But certainly over 20, it appears based on early reports.”
