Hillary Clinton Meets with Partners to Discuss Iran Sanctions
CBS News confirms there was a "P5+1" meeting in Washington Monday night at the foreign minister level, according to U.S. and European diplomatic sources in Washington.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met her colleagues from Russia, China, France, the UK and Germany to discuss how to move forward at the United Nations on another sanctions resolution against Iran. The meeting was held at the Washington Convention Center, on the margins of the Nuclear Security Summit.
State Department officials called the meeting an "impromptu" gathering, and sources said it lasted less than an hour.
The meeting was first reported by Reuters.
