Hasselhoff's Ex Claims He Abused Her
David Hasselhoff's ex-wife, Pamela Bach, claims her husband is an alcoholic who abused her during their marriage.
"I thought if he just wouldn't drink, everything is going to be OK," she told "Access Hollywood" in an interview airing Thursday. "He went to three rehabs. I supported that. He wouldn't stay … those are Band-Aids on the situation."
Bach attended a post-divorce hearing Tuesday with her new layer, Debra Opri, who formerly represented Larry Birkhead.
When asked if she suffered any physical abuse during her husband's alleged drinking bouts, Bach said, "Yes, and it's not something I really wanted out there ... It was like Jekyll and Hyde."
She also says she does not trust Hasselhoff with their daughters, Hayley and Taylor Ann, because she doubts he "can hold his disease at bay to not take that drink."
Hasselhoff told "Access Hollywood" in a statement that "I have respect of my children and my fans, but most importantly, my self respect. I will continue to keep my personal life private for the sake of moving on and living a happy life with my daughters."
