People magazine has named Gwyneth Paltrow as the World's Most Beautiful Woman for 2013.

The 40-year-old "Iron Man 3" actress tops the magazine's annual list of the "World's Most Beautiful," announced Wednesday.

Commenting on her selection, Paltrow says: "Around the house, I'm in jeans and a T-shirt. I don't really wear makeup."

Of her husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, she added: "He'll make a joke about it. If I've gotten fully dressed up, he'll be like, 'Oh, wow! You're Gwyneth Paltrow!' Because he's used to seeing me in like baggy shorts and frizzy hair."

She credits her workout routine (she's a fan of the Tracy Anderson Method) for keeping her looking young and feeling strong.

"When I first started, I thought, 'I'll never be good at this. This is a nightmare!' But now it's like brushing my teeth, I just do it," she said.

Paltrow and Martin have two children -- daughter Apple, 8, and son Moses, 7.

Other stars who made People's annual "Most Beautiful" list include Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore,Kerry Washington, Jane Fonda, Amanda Seyfried,Zooey Deschanel, Kelly Rowland and Pink.
