NEW YORK (CBS) There was a lot of kissing going on in Tuesday night's episode of "Glee" when when Will Sheuster and the glee club tackled such issues as acceptance, sexual identity and bullying to a Katy Perry soundtrack.

The "Never Been Kissed" title of the episode refers to Coach Beiste (Dot Jones), the new male-looking female football coach whom the glee club members are picturing to control their sexual urges. When she finds out, she is offended and confesses to the glee club director that she's never been kissed.

The obliging Schue gives her a pep talk that ends with - you guessed it - a kiss.

The other kiss that made news was the same sex smooch between openly gay Kurt and a bullying football player. When Kurt confronts the jock, the gridiron hero leans over and plants a kiss on the glee club member.

Thus begins an unsuccessful campaign by Kurt and Blaine (he's the newcomer being ballyhooed on the Internet as Kurt's love interest later this season) to get the football player to confront his sexual identity.

Besides Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," The episode set list included Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer, the Supremes' "Stop in the Name of Love" and the Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up."
