Giant Coke For Stadium

A Coke bottle that can only be described as giant will look down on San Francisco Giants' baseball games in their new stadium.

The San Francisco Planning Commission has approved plans for a huge play structure in the shape of a Coke bottle. The 80-foot-long, 40-foot-high fixture will be placed inside Pacific Bell Park on a platform behind the left-field bleachers.

The structure will hold a slide and sit in a 34,000 square-foot children's play area. The area will also feature three miniature practice fields and a huge baseball glove.

The Giants told the commission before yesterday's vote that the Coke structure is part of an advertising deal that will help the team pay for the privately-financed stadium.
