Flight attendant, male, allegedly assaulted by passenger, female, aboard US Air jet in Philadelphia

(CBS) PHILADELPHIA - A 23-year-old Philadelphia woman is accused of assaulting a male flight attendant on a plane that was preparing to take off from the Philadelphia International Airport Monday morning.

CBS Philly reports airport police responded around 10 a.m. for a disruptive passenger aboard a US Air flight at Terminal A. Police say it was learned that the passenger had been removed from the plane when she became belligerent, and physical.

According to the station, police say the woman, identified as Sasha Anderson, 23, allegedly threw her cell phone at the flight attendant, and also slapped and scratched his face.

Police said his injuries were minor.

However, police say numerous other passengers stated that they were afraid to leave the ground with the woman still on the plane.

Anderson was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct.

She is free awaiting her summons.
