Emanuel Endorses Obama

The final dominoes continued to fall Wednesday in the Democratic primary contest, as powerful House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-Ill.) formally endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

"After an historic primary contest that made our party stronger than ever, the voters have spoken," Emanuel said in a statement.

" I have known Barack Obama for years, first as a friend and later as a colleague. I know he will bring about real change and I am proud to endorse his campaign for President."
