Edwards Weighs in on Oprah-Obama

CONCORD, N.H. -- John Edwards was asked at a press conference this afternoon to weigh in on Oprah Winfrey campaigning for Barack Obama this weekend:

"I think most people vote on the basis of the candidates themselves," Edwards said.

"I have to be honest, I don't - having been through this before - I don't think that's a critical part of what's happening. I think people take this very seriously. I don't think they decide who to vote for based on what movie star's for you."

"Any presidential candidate has the right to bring somebody out who's supporting them on who will help attract a crowd. That's what politics is."
