Drake graduates high school

Drake is now a high school graduate.

The R&B singer announced the news in a tweet this week: "97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!" He added, "Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!! OVO SOUND"

The Canadian native dropped out of high school after landing a part on the TV series, "Degrassi: The Next Generation."

During a recent interview with Kentucky Sports Television, Drake, 25, opened up about school.

"I actually dropped out of high school, which I don't know if a lot of people know that," Drake said while visiting the University of Kentucky and spending time with basketball coach John Calipari. "But I dropped out of high school. I never really got like a great school experience. And when Coach Cal asked me to come here for the first Midnight Madness it just really gave me a sense of school, a sense of love, a sense of belonging to something. So that's why I feel like I belong to the UK family, and that's why I'm graduating from high school this month. So, I'm actually inspired by UK, inspired by these boys right here."

Drake's most recent studio album, "Take Care," came out in 2011. He's been working on a new release, expected out in 2013.
