Day 8: President Obama's Schedule

One week ago today President Obama was sworn into office. On his eighth day in the Oval office he will hold three closed meetings with senior staff members and travel to Capitol Hill to meet with the Senate Republican Conference. Here is what is on tap from the White House press office:

12pm E.T.: President Obama arrives on the Hill.

12:15pm E.T.: President Obama meets with House Republican Conference to seek their support and guidance on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan.

1:25pm E.T.: President Obama meets with Senate Republican Conference to seek their support and guidance on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan.

Also, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will brief members of the press at 3:45 p.m. ET.
