Dale Evans Goes Home
It was happy trails back home for Dale Evans, who left a hospital with a new pacemaker.
The 86-year-old entertainer and widow of cowboy star Roy Rogers was released from Loma Linda University Medical Center Monday, almost a week after undergoing surgery to replace her pacemaker.
Evans was hospitalized Oct. 11 at Desert Valley Medical Center after suffering respiratory problems. Tests revealed she may have suffered a mild heart attack and she underwent surgery Oct. 12 at Loma Linda.

Evans, known as "The Queen of the West," starred in 35 movies and a 1950s television series with her husband. She also co-wrote the couple's theme song, "Happy Trails to You."
More recently, she has written a number of inspirational books and is the host of a Trinity Broadcast Network talk show.
Her husband died last year at age 86.
