Cops: Topless Drunk Driver Drives Drunk, Topless

Brandi Smith (Gardnerville Sheriff's Office)

NEW YORK (CBS) Police say drunk, topless woman Brandi Smith was drunk and topless when she, drunk and topless, stormed into a Nevada grocery store, stole a bottle of wine, then drove her car into a Burger King, says The Nevada Appeal.  (Did we mention she was drunk and topless?)

According to the paper, witnesses saw the topless, drunk 41-year-old woman driving erratically before pulling into the Scolari's Grocery Store parking lot in Gardnerville, Nev.

Police say she entered the store - drunk and topless - grabbed a $20 bottle of wine and proceeded to walk past the clerk, topless and drunk, without paying, reports the newspaper.

Smith, apparently both drunk and topless, then reportedly hopped back into her car and drove toward a Burger King, jumping the curb and plowing into the landscaping. The paper says that an off-duty sheriff's deputy ran to her vehicle and held Smith, who was topless and drunk, in her car, until police and paramedics arrived.

Her breath-alcohol content clocked in at .144, which is almost twice the legal limit, according to the paper.

Records obtained by The Nevada Appeal indicated that Smith, who is accused of driving drunk and topless, had two prior drunk driving convictions in California in 2008 and 2009, and was currently driving with a suspended California license.

To make matters worse, she - while allegedly drunk and topless - was also on probation for an Oct. 2009 theft of beer from a 7-Eleven.

Perhaps because she was drunk and topless, Smith remained hospitalized for observation, the paper reports.
