Clinton To Balkans Next Week

CBS News Correspondent Peter Maer reports President Clinton will fly to Sarajevo next week for a summit on the future of the Balkans.

It will be a quick trip to a one-day summit of more than 30 world leaders concerned about Balkans stability, according to CBS Radio News. They will discuss efforts to maintain peace in the former Yugoslavia.

In Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia, the meeting will also review that country's peace efforts following the bloody conflict there.

Yugoslavia's Slobodan Milosevic, an accused war criminal, is not invited to the Sarajevo summit.
