Clinton Reacts to Obama's Claim of More Support
MILFORD, N.H. -- Responding to comments made by Barack Obama yesterday where he claimed he had more advisers from Bill Clinton's administration supporting him, Hillary Clinton said, "this isn't a campaign about a list of advisers."
"When the door closes and you're having to make those difficult decisions that presidents are having to make everyday, ultimately there is no adviser you can count on. You have to make the decision and live with the consequences," she added.
"You can have lists of people who are advising you but what matters is who's sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office, ready to be president on day one."
Before speaking to reporters at the River House Café in Milford, N.H., Clinton posed for pictures, shook hands and greeted customers. Reporters gathered behind the lunch counter as Clinton wrapped up her pleasantries and later emerged from a small holding area bearing candy canes saying, she needed to "sweeten up the press."
