Clinton Plays The Mom Card

Hillary Clinton's mom thinks her daughter should be president.

The Clinton campaign today began running a new thirty-second ad in Iowa featuring Dorothy Rodham, who talks about how she believes Clinton "ought to be elected even if she weren't my daughter."

In the spot, which features a black-and-white photograph of Clinton as a child and informs viewers that "Hillary's mom lives with her," Rodman has this to say:

"What I would like people to know about Hillary is what a good person she is. She never was envious of anybody—she was helpful. And she's continued that with her adult life with helping other women. She has empathy for other people's unfortunate circumstances. I've always admired that because it isn't always true of people."
