Clark Kent to quit his job at The Daily Planet in next issue of "Superman"

Clark Kent is calling it quits at the newspaper job he has held for years on end at The Daily Planet.

The DC Comics superhero will be leaving his job in the next issue of "Superman"  and  might even  try his hand  at blogging, reports USA Today.

"I don't think he's going to be filling out an application anywhere," "Superman" writer Scott Lobdell told the newspaper. "He is more likely to start the next Huffington Post or the next Drudge Report than he is to go find someone else to get assignments or draw a paycheck from."

In the new issue, out Oct. 24, Clark Kent criticizes his Daily Planet editor Perry White about the paper's content, to which White responds, "Go easy on us mere mortals, Clark. Times are changing, and print is a dying medium."
