(CBS/WKMG/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - The murder trial of Casey Anthony, who's accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, will resume today with the prosecution set to wrap its case up by Tuesday or Wednesday, according to Judge Belvin Perry, and the defense to possibly conclude by next Saturday.

Perry did note that the time line is subject to change, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.

Court recessed early on Monday with the state calling only a pair of FBI forensics experts. Court let out early because the prosecution's next witness wasn't scheduled to arrive in town until early Tuesday afternoon. State attorneys say that they are ahead of schedule and the defense could be able to call its first witness Wednesday.

After Stephen Shaw, a hair and fiber examiner for the FBI testified that he saw further evidence of decomposition on the hairs taken from Caylee's skull than on the hair in Anthony's trunk, FBI forensic examiner Elizabeth Fontaine testified about the duct tape found with Caylee's skull, reports the station.

Fontaine said she observed what appeared to be heart-shaped glue residue about the size of a dime on one of the pieces, but the process of testing the tape for fingerprints caused the image to disappear before she took a photo.

On Saturday, a photo of sheets of heart-shaped stickers taken from the Anthony home was entered into evidence.

Fontaine said she did not find fingerprints on the tape, but given the weathered condition of the tape, she did not expect to find any, the station reports.

Prosecutors believe Anthony suffocated Caylee with duct tape. The defense contends Caylee drowned in her grandparents' swimming pool.

Anthony, 25, has pleaded not guilty. She could face the death penalty if convicted.
