Johnny Carson was the consumate entertainer. But perhaps one of his most outstanding talents was being able to be funny in the face of the unknown. And, many of his most unpredictable guests -- were brought to him by Joan Embery who, at that time, was goodwill ambassador from the San Diego Zoo.

By Embery's account, she appeared with Carson 70 - 75 times. She visited The Early Show to reminisce about Carson, with co-anchor Hannah Storm.

Structured Solutions II's Mark Noonan braved the bitter cold in New York City the day after a blizzard to show The Early Show weatherman and features reporter Dave Price the company's snow shovelling solution -- the Whovel.

"I designed this," he told Price, "after many years of hurting my back."

It's well documented that, the less stress you put on yourself when shovelling, the better. It also cuts heart attack risk.

The whovel "is like a big seesaw," Noonan says.

He

. It looks like a giant shovel with a curve in the center, to fit over something resembling a Big Wheel. You fill the shovel blade with snow, than push down on the handle. The big wheel acts as a lever. A very clever lever, at that. And the snow comes up, rather easily. You can also flling it out of the blade, which Price says "is not only a relief to the back, but a fun game!"
