Bush To Pelosi: We'll Take That Money Now

Well that didn’t take long.

President Bush notified Congress Tuesday that he has given Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson up to $350 billion of the $700 billion recently approved in the financial bailout bill.

In a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Bush said he has given Paulson the authority to spend the money to “purchase troubled assets.”
