Britain's Last Beer Barrel Boss

This report was filed by CBS News London producer Amy Guttman.

Struggling to find a position with good job security? Look no further. England's last Master Cooper is desperate to find an apprentice.

Alastair Simms is one of only four craftsmen left in the U.K. who makes wooden beer barrels by hand.

After 30 years in the business, Simms is the only one qualified to train a newcomer.

He and his bosses at the Wadworth Brewery want to save this dying trade.

Training takes four and a half years, and if you're wondering why, it's because of all the sharp tools needed to whittle the wood. It's a job modest in pay, but rich in tradition, and it even offers a few perks.
