Boehner, GOP Leaders Give $105K To NRCC In 3rd Quarter
House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) and the rest of the elected Republican leadership donated a total of $105,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee in the 3rd quarter, a fraction of what Democratic leaders gave, and another telling example of the financial disparity between the two parties at this time.
Since Jan. 1. Boehner, Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), GOP Conference Chairman Adam Putnam (R-Fla.) and National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Cole (Okla.) have transferred a total of $890,000, roughly one-third of what Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the top Democrats have given to the DCCC.
The Democratic totals include one additional elected leadership spot (Speaker) than the Republicans have.
For the year, Boehner has donated $295,000 from his own re-election campaign to the NRCC, Blunt has given $210,000, Putnam has kicked in $285,000, and Cole has anted up $100,000.
