Black Star debuts new song on "The Colbert Report"

(CBS) Black Star's Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) stopped by "The Colbert Report" on Wednesday night to discuss their partnership and perform a previously unreleased song.

The duo spoke about Bey's recent name change and the difference between underground and "corporate" (as Colbert put it) rap.

They also performed the song "Fix Up," and did a web-exclusive performance of "Astronomy (8th Light)." (You can watch it here).

Their appearance came after it was announced that they were canceling seven dates on their U.S. tour, according to the Los Angeles Times.
